About Viking Sub Aqua Club
Viking Sub Aqua Club was first established in 1976. We are a CFT (Comhairle Fo-Thuinn) affiliated scuba diving club based in Dublin, Ireland.
We run weekly dives during the scuba season and regularly organise trips to popular dive spots around Ireland and abroad to more exotic locations around the world.
We meet every Wednesday night from 9pm to 10pm in the Coolmine Sports & Leisure Centre in Blanchardstown, Dublin 15.
Comhairle Fo-Thuinn, also known as Irish Underwater Council, is the national governing body for recreational diving and underwater sports in Ireland. Established in 1963, CFT is an affiliate member of CMAS, the World Underwater Federation and EUF (European Underwater Federation).
We have several veteran divers in the club who have a wealth of knowledge and diving experience and multiple qualified diving instructors.
A lot of our members also hold prominent positions within CFT.
The Viking Sub Aqua Club is a diving club for all ages and levels of experience. We are a friendly group of like-minded individuals who have a passion for diving.
We have a busy calendar all year round, with all sorts of dives, events and trips away organised.

Club Training & Diving
Club training takes place every Wednesday evening in Coolmine swimming pool from 9pm to 10pm with lectures usually taking place beforehand.
Before the dive season commences, club members meet up for snorkels in the sea usually at Sandycove Beach in Dublin, with the dive season beginning around St. Patrick’s Day each year.
Further training is offered through CFT with courses being held throughout the year, giving divers the ability to continually improve and develop their dive training and qualifications.
The club owns two powerboats, a portable compressor and a top class air and nitrox compressor which is based in our dedicated compressor room at Coolmine.
During the dive season, we meet several times a week around Dublin bay for dives and organise multiple social events and weekends away to popular dive spots around Ireland, as well as the occasional trip to more exotic locations around the world.
